The day before our friends from Cyprus came....

So, we had everything cleaned up. I was really happy to get it done because I have been procrastinating for quite a while. I was so happy that the weather was still so nice, almost t-shirt weather. With 9 children and three adults in a two bedroom apartment, I thought it would be good to be able to get outside for some playtime. Everything went very well. Another good friend of mine was able to help pick up my Cyprus friends from the airport! Yeah, what could go wrong? Well, the day Sheila and family were supposed to arrive at the airport, it was snowing! I was so sad to see the snow and feel the cold. Then I got the message that my friends wouldn't come until the next day because they had bad weather and their flight was delayed. So I had to change plans around a little. My friend D was still able to help me pick up Sheila and family, yeah! She also organized winter jackets and boots for the whole gang! Thank you D and everyone who loaned us stuff for 5 days!
Here are some pictures of the first snow of the season here

I organized...maybe I went overboard....

It has been quite a while since I blogged. Life is just taking on a life of it's own ... each day seems to escape and I barely hang on. We were trying to keep up the pace but a few days before our friends came to visit, we gave up. What a sweet time it was when I decided that we are taking a break! I finally got all my messy corners cleaned up. You know, that top shelf that has whatever on it and it seems to multiply with more whatevers. Yes, all that got cleaned up. All the drawers are organized. I even finally organized the bookshelves, according to the dewey decimal system - ha, now I will find that "one book " that we always seem to look for and spend a good portion of the school day to search for and end up doing without just to find it then a few days later. This is hopefully a thing of the past now! If the kids will just put the books back to where they are supposed to be, at least by the number, I don't really care about the alphabetical order. Here are some pictures of some of the books I did...I

This is one of our bookshelves. To the right you can see a little part of our " Thankful tree"

If you look close you can see the numbers.....

all done with special tape just for books
